Chuseok in Sokcho: Day 2 Sept. 30

Sunday was another day of hiking at Seoraksan Park. We met up with our friends in the morning and hiked two trails. The first was a hike up to a temple in a cave on the side of a mountain. From the cave, we experienced another beautiful view. The second hike was more relaxing and it led us to the Biryong waterfall. The park was busier on Sunday, but it was a national holiday so this was to be expected.

We had lunch at the park and then Ian and I returned to the hostel. We picked up bikes that the hostel provides for free and went for a bike ride. Yoo, the hostel's owner recommended biking around Yeongnanho Lake, so we followed his advice. It was nice biking while the sun was setting on the mountains. The only downside was that ¾ of the way in, one of Ian’s peddles broke off. We walked our bikes the rest of the way. The bikes were in rough condition to begin with, but we can’t complain because they were free.
